All I Want...is a Magic Princess Trip

I wrote an essay about Joni Mitchel when I was in college. The most important thing I took away from it was a line from her ex-husband. He said she was on her "Magic Princess Trip". Other than sounding horribly bitter and condescending it made me want to go on one. You see once I hit Junior High I took on a dark atmosphere as part of my personality... I have been ashamed of the glitter and hearts of my sugar and spice filled center. It is time to address the feminine. Basically anything that I'm too embarrassed to put on a social network because I don't want people to know that I'm actually super girly is going here. Not that I'm embarrassed to love Joni. She just seemed like a great place to start. A woman that was seemed so delicate, while strong, and so honest about what she loved.

I want to have fun, I want to shine like the sun
I want to be the one that you want to see
I want to knit you a sweater
Want to write you a love letter
I want to make you feel better
I want to make you feel free

Let us take a moment to discuss how Blue is possibly the best album ever written. If you have somehow never given it a chance or have missed out on the greatness that is Joni Mitchell please do yourself a service and listen to the full album.

Love and kisses.
